HOW TO CLEAN YOUR CAP
Here’s our guide to the best way to clean your cap without ruining its shape.

CAP MODEL
The first step is to determine the type of cap you’re cleaning. Usually, caps without structure (with a soft top) are easier to clean since they lack a stiff form that can be damaged.
If your cap has structure, take extra care to preserve its shape during cleaning.

CLEAN YOUR CAP WITH OUR CLEANING KIT
Our cleaning kit includes products from Brunngård AB, a leading company in shoe care in the Nordics. The kit comes with cleaning gel, a microfiber cloth, and two brushes.
How to use it?
These products are very easy to use. Simply dampen the brush with lukewarm water, apply a small amount of cleaning gel, and gently scrub the area you want to clean.
Be careful and start gently to see how the material reacts to the brush, as some materials are more sensitive than others.

WASHING YOUR CAP IN THE DISHWASHER
We know this sounds strange, right? But this is our best advice, as in our experience, the cap maintains its structure very well when it stays completely still.

How to do it?
- Place the cap on the top rack of the dishwasher and try to secure it in place (lying flat).
- Run the dishwasher on a low heat program (we usually use a quick cycle at 30°C).
- Avoid filling the dishwasher with dirty dishes.
- Let the cap air dry at room temperature, since high heat can cause it to shrink.

HAND WASH YOUR CAP

If your cap only has small stains, hand washing might be the easiest way to remove them. The most important thing is to avoid using anything that could potentially damage the material of the cap. We recommend using a soft brush or a soft sponge. When it comes to which cleaning agent to use, it's best to Google the appropriate solution based on the type of stain you're dealing with.
Another advice that works incredibly well on many types of stains, both on caps and clothing, is wet wipes. Just be sure that the wipes do not contain any strong cleaning agents, as these could discolor the fabric.

DRYING YOUR CAP AFTER WASHING
Always let the cap air dry, preferably at room temperature. The reason for this is that high temperatures, such as those from a dishwasher drying cycle, can cause the cap to shrink and negatively affect the material of the brim, potentially damaging it.
